Skip Press has edited a Hollywood entertainment magazine, produced and directed plays lauded by the L.A. Times, made instructional videos, sold screenplays, served as the Hollywood correspondent for Boys Life magazine, been a staff writer for the UPN kids show “Algo’s Factory,” published young adult novels and non–fiction series, and taught an online screenwriting course that was available in 1,500 schools. He has published almost 50 books, including four editions of the Writer’s Guide to Hollywood, four editions of the Complete Idiot’s Guide to Screenwriting (including in Russian). In 2009, he wrote This Is My Song: A Memoir, by Patti Page with Skip Press. In 2011, it was the Complete Idiot’s Guide to Making Money with Craigslist and the fourth edition of How To Write What You Want & Sell What You Write. A screenplay consultation in 2011 resulted in a director getting his first feature film. A constantly working ghostwriter and editor, in 2012 he created Past Tense, a 450-page book about stress management for the co-owners of a major national medical company, and then began the bio of the CEO of a Fortune 200 corporation that changed medicine worldwide.
