My guest is Award Winning Actor Michael Dante has appeared in approximately 30 films and 150 television shows and spent several years under contract to three major studios; 15bigMGM, Warner Bros. and 20th Century Fox. Michael was a bonus ball player with the Boston Braves and later went to the big leagues with the Washington Senators.

He has won many awards in and out of Hollywood and has a street named after him, Michael Dante Way, in his hometown of Stamford, Connecticut. Michael’s first starring role was in Westbound with Randolph Scott, co-starred in two films with Audie Murphy, Apache Rifles and Arizona Raiders, Seven Thieves with Rod Stieger, Sammy Fuller’s film noir,The Naked Kiss and starred in the title role in the film Winterhawk. He co-starred in classic TV shows such as Desilu Playhouse, Star Trek, Bonanza, General Hospital and the Custer Series, just to name a few.

Michael hosted his own one hour radio talk show, The Michael Dante Classic Celebrity Talk Show, with the top names in entertainment and sports. Michael has written his biography about the people he worked with and those he encountered throughout his journey, ‘From Hollywood to Michael Dante Way.’

Michael is an Award winning actor of 30 films and 150 television show plus multiple awards, Michael Dante, signed a $6,000.00 bonus contract at the age of 18 with the Boston Braves organization in 1950. He played shortstop for two years in the minor leagues before injuring his throwing arm.

A young Ralph Vitti, whose name was later, changed to Michael Dante while under contract to Warner Bros. Studios by movie mogul Jack Warner, played for the Hermosillo ball club in the Mexican Coast Winter League in 1952. He wanted to make up for lost playing time because of his shoulder injury. After a shoulder operation, the Washington Senators invited him to spring training with their club in Orlando, Florida in 1955.

Michael’s shoulder was healing slowly, so he took advantage of an opportunity to do a screen test at MGM Studios in Hollywood, arranged by big band leader Tommy Dorsey. The Studio signed him to a movie contract and he never went back to baseball.

Ted Minos aka Ted Bruce of Everett Ma. Ted is the Founder/Producing Artistic Director of Moose Hall Theatre Company (MHTC) and the Inwood Shakespeare Festival (ISF), has 993636_10200129126336176_481846665_nbeen a professional actor in NYC for over 30 years. He has played featured roles in television and his theatrical background is extensive having worked in Regional Theatre’s such as Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, New York Off Broadway Theaters such as the Public Theatre (for Joe Papp), Ensemble Studio Theatre and the Roundabout Theatre. He has also performed at the Gene Frankel Theatre, New Dramatists and River Arts Theatre among others.

He has produced Opera, concerts and many dramatic productions. He has directed a third of the Shakespeare Canon and many classical & contemporary plays. As a playwright, he’s adapted seven plays from classical and popular literature and written four original plays for the outdoor venue: Spartacus a historical/fictional account of the Roman slave uprising, Tombstone, Saga of Americans-The West Historic/Fiction based on events and characters leading to the shootout at the OK Corral, The Golem, Heart of Light, Mind of Darkness a gothic/horror tale based on Jewish folk-tales and Zapata! Tiger of Morelos a Spanish/English production based on the life of Mexican Rebel, Emiliano Zapata. He is scheduled to direct Shakespeare’s The Tempest and Eugene Ionesco’s Rhinoceros for ISF season 2013.

The Inwood Shakespeare Festival  was conceived and developed by Ted Minos as a way to bring theatre to the Northern Manhattan community. ISF in partnership with City of New York/Parks & Recreation each summer for the last 15 years, has continued to play a crucial role in the vitality of our community with pioneer productions; accessible FREE public programs of theatre & music in Inwood Hill Park Peninsula, bringing together over 39,000 audience members of all ages and cultures from our wonderful communities of Inwood, Washington Heights, Harlem and beyond . . . & counting.

Ted is an Uptown Arts Stroll Honoree for his contributions to the arts and efforts to bring excellent programming in uptown Manhattan. A member of AEA and SAG-AFTRA. Ted and his wife Cathy have been Inwood residents for 29 years, where they raised their three children.

Actor, Singer, Writer Kevin T. Rush

Kevin Rush who is an actor, singer and writer who is

kevinrushcoming on the show to talk about the meaning of Lent for us Roman Catholics. He is working on a project about the Veil of Veronica and St Longinus, who stuck his lance into the side of Christ as he hung from the cross.

Kevin was born in South Bend IN, while his father was earning his PhD at Notre Dame. In 1964, the family moved to New Jersey and Kevin was given the usual parochial school education, until he won a scholarship to Regis High School in NYC, a Jesuit, all-scholarship, high school for academically talented young men. After Regis, Kevin went to Haverford College where he majored in English, graduating in 1982.

Returning to New York, Kevin began acting in summer stock productions, earning his Equity card in 1988. He completed a two-year Meisner Technique program under the tutelage of Edward Moor, late of the Neighborhood Playhouse. He moved to San Francisco in 1989, where he began to concentrate on writing, while pursuing a teaching career and later attending law school. He graduated from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1995, but returned to teaching instead of law practice.

In 2005, having written extensively and produced his first short film, Kevin moved to Los Angeles to more aggressively market his screen and stage plays, picking up some writing awards and accolades along the way. He also went back to acting class, studying Meisner Technique in the Graduate Class at the William Alderson Studio. He is a member of SAG-AFTRA. In 2010, Kevin moved back to New Jersey to care for his ailing father. He now lives in Kenilworth, NJ.
